Jeff has participated in the construction of over 2,000 projects in the commercial, institutional, industrial, and government arenas. He enjoys facilitating the construction process through preparedness, imagination, and execution. With a vision to deliver exceptional value to his clients, Jeff has assembled a team of talented individuals who are establishing JM2 as an industry leader.
JD Chavez – Estimating Manager/HR/PM
JD’s years in the masonry industry span two periods of his life. The first period came after high school and time in college majoring in accounting. JD’s masonry experience began on the jobsite, tending bricklayers and operating equipment. After a couple of years, he left the industry to form a logistic business with family. While operating a logistics business for nearly a decade, JD learned to help develop logistic systems, create budgets and maintain an organized accounting method.
JD returned to the masonry industry and became a bricklayer shortly after. JD proved his resourcefulness and “can-do” attitude making him a reliable and significant team-member. Fluent in English and Spanish, JD was also a member of our safety committee and translated leadership communications to our Latino guys when necessary. JD’s leadership skills were recognized, and he was promoted to Project Manager. His field experience, accounting and business background made this an easy transition. As JD performed P.M. obligations, he took on more estimating and bidding responsibility. Today JD manages work procurement, while collaborating with Human Resources and Business Operations and is a primary contact in every facet of JM2.
“When it comes to providing value there are no shortcuts. It is my duty to the client and our organization to safely ensure a quality product. The only way to accomplish that is through discipline, foresight and love of our trade. I’m fortunate to work alongside our JM2 leadership who also believe in those things.”
- JD Chavez
